Not dated presumed First edition hardback in original Cable designed dustjacket dated -40- by illustrators name , 255pp ,complete with colour frontpiece and all black and white drawings , pink boards with dark titles to spine and front are clean and bright , neat inscription on front pastdown , no spine lean , no tears to pages , corners are sharpr , spine tips are pushed , usual page toning with age and offsetting to endpapers , minor foxing , in original jacket that is not spine faded , not price-clipped showing 3/- net on flap , states New era series on spine , tips and corners rubbed , toned with age , closed tear and some creasing , toned on verso , brown paper on verso of spine tips and corners , small book related sticker on front flap. a scarce title in jacket , not a remainder , not an ex-library copy.
